David Sharir's Mosaic Wall

This wall spans 80 square meters, and is comprised of one million colored glass stones that were molded and embedded in Italy, and assembled by an Israeli-Italian team at Shalom Tower. The mosaic does not have a chronological timeline, but is nostalgic, personal, and experiential, depicting a celebration of human urbanity through the giant wave that expresses everlasting continuity. The motif of scaffolding is repeated throughout the wave, symbolizing Tel Aviv-Jaffa as a vibrant city that is constantly undergoing construction.
